Group gardening!

The morning was spent entering yesterday's data, and in the afternoon we all went over to Chris and Lizzy's house for a gardening afternoon, with accompanying beer and nibbles. 

The previous owner had been a keen gardener with lots of time, but it's become clear that some adjustments need to be made to reduce the amount of regular maintenance, as both Chris and Lizzy are very busy, especially in the summer. We made rapid progress with six of us working on it, and by the end of the afternoon it looked a lot tidier, and had some new low-maintenance plants to full in some the gaps. 

In the evening we all went out for a pub meal. They gave me the wrong sort of potatoes, and then forgot to bring the replacements, so Alex negotiated a free pudding instead - a good deal!
