Sailing away

We took a very leisurely walk along the canal today. There were frequent rehydration breaks, lots of lingering and a deal of dawdling. It's hot.

After a break at the lock we were about to head for home but saw a boat about to come through, so we stayed put and watched.

There is a plan forming...

Gosh, it feels strange to write lock and not loch.

Three days from home and I have already flattened my battery. Don't have much in the way of good shots to show for it.

We have booked the extra night. I hope that photos are permitted in the museum! Already looking forward to trying the Crêpes Suzette at the Comptoir St Sébastien on Tuesday night. So happy to have one more night here.

Tonight there are very few options as all is fermé. There is however an all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant just over the bridge from here. It looks very inauspicious from the outside but there are some enthusiastic TripAdvisor reviews so we will give it a whirl. Apparently they have several Asian cuisines covered, not just Japanese. It could be fun?
