Solace Day 14 Back To The Marina

It was time to go back to the marina today so we cruised on to the winding hole just outside Chester. On this bit of canal we passed some lovely properties and had to travel through this weeping willow. Well, no, not me, I was getting some exercise on the towpath!

We had the slow journey back passed all the moored boats but still got back to the marina by lunchtime, a bit earlier than usual. After lunch it was cleaning time. We top up the diesel and water, pump out the toilets and then set about washing down the outside of the boat and packing some of our things.

We reflected upon what a good trip it had been. Many of our canal trips have been blighted by breakdowns and battery problems. Everything worked perfectly this time!
