Cattle, Cattle, and more Cattle
A figure of eight walk in the Lune Valley starting and finishing in Hornby. Recent rain means that the landscape is astonishingly green, the grass is growing fast making up for lost time.
Ingleborough was often a backdrop, against gloomsome skies.
And everywhere cattle. Our figure of eight was broken at one point - the beasts had churned up the field so much it was impassable, and another jumpy lot were waiting to receive us in the neighbouring field.
Extra - J loves planes, and is a fan of the flight radar app. Our flight today was due to leave at 1.40pm, so she found it about to take off, and landing at its destination. Oh well, best laid plans and all that.
We have no idea what we'll be doing for the next two weeks, we have only one fixed point. And a few ideas.
