A hornet

We are having the gas boiler replaced, so there's an additional man about the house for a couple of days.  I have managed to escape for a while, but JJ's at golf tomorrow, so I'll be house sitting.

I had a long-awaited visit to see the doctor this morning and she confirmed that my severe osteoporosis is very slightly worse, in spite of having two parathyroid glands removed two years ago, so I have to go back on Alendronic Acid and calcium tablets.  I already have a head start in the lack of height category and I'm getting shorter. 

I spotted a couple of hornets buzzing round some ivy flowers and managed a reasonably bad picture of one.
