Log jam

This  large tree trunk was obviously washed down river when it was last in flood - probably springtime - and is held fast in the rocks. Other debris has started to build up around it and the situation will only get worse as Autumn draws on. Luckily storm Helene passed us by more or less un noticed, so water levels remain low.
