Aphrodite

I volunteered at the shelter again today, the same two ladies I walked Friday were still there. This is Aphrodite, she is a very nervous/shy girl. I took her for an almost hour long walk in the woods, it really helps her come out of her shell. The kennel can be a frightening place for softer dogs. I remember when I first met Loki in the shelter. He was trembling as he walked through the kennels, refusing to move some of the time, he was so terrified :( We got to hang out with him in a quiet room and he almost immediately fell asleep on me, I think just relieved that he was away from all that frantic noise. Poor guy. Aphrodite isn't that bad, and thankfully, she is going home in a short while! 

I also walked Molly again, she is a sweetheart. Also on the softer side, but on walks she is a beast! She is super skinny still, but she can pull like no one's business. We worked on that, and she was much improved after her hour long walk :) I go back on Thursday for another shift, they both may be there still, we shall see. If not, there are plenty of odd jobs for me to do!
