Working on Happier

Ms. Corra giving me smiles this evening. She had her chiropractor appointment yesterday, just needing some slight adjustments, so yay! That is an improvement since this time last year :D Also for the first time, she happily wiggled up to her doctor and gave her kisses and allowed pets! She also lay down, getting her adjustment, just focusing on me (getting lots of treats ...) without whining and looking back the whole time. So happy! I am not sure what has been creating this change the most ... she happily greeted 2 of our neighbors about a week ago as well, allowing them to pet her and just being very loose and wiggly around them. She had finally started saying hi to one of our neighbors, but this was even more of an improvement. And then last night we had nose work class (it was cancelled two weeks in a row before last night, but we have been practicing daily). She did fantastic! While she is still worried about a certain area of the tiled floor, she was getting more confident about it throughout the night. Her finds were quick and she was super happy to be working. She also happily greeted her trainer (which has been pretty normal for her) and was curious about some shoppers who came in to the store while we were waiting our turn. She definitely would have been concerned about that in the past. I'll take curious :)

Not sure what is making the most impact on her, between changing her herbal formula for her back (been on that almost 2 months now), doing the nose work classes/practice at home, or the 'play way' - an online class we took that incorporates play into being able to tell when your dog is over threshold. But just the act of play seems to help worried dogs :) I am working on all of these things with Loki as well, but he is highly managed, so he hasn't been put into as many situations in which I would be able to gauge the change. Either way, I am super happy with Corra's improved happiness! And we'll keep working towards that <3
