White-tailed Deer
Nothing special really. But here's the thing. I was walking down to get the mail and I had my big camera with its 300mm zoom. I saw this doe and a fawn - that appears to have now lost its spots - cross the driveway ahead of me near the bottom and didn't have enough time to even raise my camera. But when I got down to where they had crossed the driveway and headed up into the woods, I looked up and saw her waaaaaay in there, amidst the trees and underbrush, looking back at me. I could really just barely see her and only knew it was her because of that telltale tail. So I pointed the camera at her and tried to get it to focus on her rather than the branches around and in front of her. Imagine my amazement when I discovered I actually got a decent shot! Well done Canon, well done.
