Welcome to Mount Doom...

Not really, it’s Mount Ngauruhue in the Tongariro National Park. But apparently it was Mount Doom in Lord of the Rings. Irrespective of whatever film it’s been in, it’s impressive!

Today was good - we black-water rafted, that is, tubed through a glow-worm cave system in Waitomo. Wet suits and inner tubes featured, plus a lot of fun!

Tomorrow we will be skiing on Ngauruhue’s sister Ruapehu. Can’t wait!
