Travelling Back to the Start

Today we retraced our steps from Jasper to Calgary, driving along roads previously covered in three separate days.  As such opportunities for photography were limited.  This was taken outside the Glacier View Inn, after we had driven through rain, then sleet before snow started as we climbed over the high passes of the area.  It seemed that we had almost broken through the clouds when we reached the Inn, as gaps in the clouds allowed the sun to stream through an onto the surrounding mountains.

The other image is from Pyramid Lake, which was again idyllic in the muted first light of the day.
