New York skyline
The day started with a walk along the High Line, - our first subway experience to get to the start! An amazingly clever use of the unused railway from the old freight trains; now a wonderful walkway above the city, with much to see of interest, including plenty of flowers, grasses etc with pretty graffiti/artwork and sculptures along the route too. We then walked on to the Flatiron district and then to Macy's superstore. From here we went to Grand Central Terminal - a mini city in itself. We saw the chrysler building on this stroll..... and then we wandered home - only 18, 182 steps in the last 24 hours.
The extras are off the inside of Grand Central Station. Such a magnificent main hall....people everywhere taking selfies etc.
We'd booked an evening cruise - hence the blip photos. After the cruise which lasted a full two hours and was most informative (what we could hear) we strolled back to 'our' area and enjoyed another clam chowder before a G&T and bed. Phew!
