Impressions

When I got back yesterday I was really pleased to see that these carnations, given to me the day before I went away, were still alive and shouting. Here they are in front of a kitchen window in late afternoon light. Behind the window are dying vine and clematis, apple tree twigs and a reflection of the dresser.
