French Frog
Backblip
Bergerac - Day #3
Another hot day. We went for a drive over to Lalinde, which was not too far. It's a lovely little town, again by the river Dordogne. We did a bit of top up shopping at the local Intermarche and then went for a walk around the town. It's an old English bastide town even if little of the walls remain. There's a nice little area by the river and tourist information centre where there were lots of flowers and pleasingly for me, some wildlife to see and photograph. Along with the many butterflies, insects and wall lizard we found a tiny little pond that contained some delightful little frogs. I love frogs so this had to be my blip for today.
After returning home, we went to the "bondholder dinner" at the onsite bistro which was held outside and was a typical Perigourdin meal - garlic soup, confit duck and walnut cake - delicious!
