Drowned rabbit

Spotted at a lock on the Canal de Bourgogne. I love it that somebody cared sufficiently to fish the rabbit out of the canal and to leave it where it might be refound by its grieving owner. I think it made for a striking image too.

This canal is very beautiful. We are at Vandenesse-en-Auxois. An odd little place, rather attractive but quite dead. Several places to eat but no shops. There is a luxury canal cruise berthed right next to us and we have been entertained all evening in watching it's operations. They have just reached the coffee...
