Two Ferries Out

A fresh start for my Granddaughter Anais, tomorrow she starts a new school out of Torpoint.
New school, new friends, new uniform and a better school atmosphere, it’s great to see her with a smile on her face and looking forward to the week.

Torpoint - what a place, around 9,000 population, four of which are my daughter, son-in-law, grandson and granddaughter. No amenities, nothing for teenagers, or kids of any age really.
Forty-eight years ago it had a thriving social life, two large Naval establishments, lots of young people with money to spend.
Often badly treated by locals Naval personnel now pass straight through on their way to Plymouth and Torpoint has become little more than a population centre.

It’s interesting to note that on the TripAdvisor website of the top five attractions for Torpoint in the “Things To Do”, two are ferries taking you away from the place and a further two are at completely different locations requiring a car.
That pretty much tells you all you need to know about Torpoint.

Anais is happy and that’s the main thing.

Plus it’s kind of strange that I have a night out there planned for this coming Friday!
