You learn something new

every day ! I am a lover of trees, of course, but despite my junior school nature lessons, am rubbish at recognising what I am looking at. I was told that this one is a horse-chestnut tree and that you know it by the horseshoe shape + horseshoe nails which can be seen underneath the new bud . I'm sure I'm teaching grandmothers to suck eggs here and you all know this already but anyway - new info to me.
