Baddesley Clinton Dahlias
This has become a bit of a tradition. The NT property in Warwickshire has, for the last few years, planted and tended the most spectacular dahlia bed and this year is no exception. This time, however, they have arranged the blooms in order of intensity of colour, from white on the right, through lemon, orange, reds, to deep purples. I actually preferred last year’s arrangement.
The wonderful weather, and warnings that this may not last, brought out visitors in droves. Parking spaces were at a premium, and a gentle stroll down to the lake was particularly welcome.
I’ve nearly used my extras but I just couldn’t resist. Light on the lake and some dahlias against the blue sky.
