Bank Subway
Another Monday-Friday view: a route I take every single day but usually don't think to appreciate the shot. I guess we all do this?
Bank Station (after the Bank of England) exists under a very complex road junction, and choosing the correct exit saves an awful lot of time at pedestrian crossings (unless you enjoy being tooted at by buses and taxis).
The station was originally built in 1900 - and on the Tube map it looks like Bank and Monument stations are one and the same... but it's a MASSIVE walk - and is entirely more enjoyable above ground. Please do not be tempted to go to Monument from Bank underground, it is a ridiculous route probably invented by Famous Five smugglers, and involves far too many escalators.
Here's a shot of exit 4 from the other direction.
