There was something we needed for the Lodge before Saturday and didn't have time to get the other day. So we killed two birds with one stone shop and visit the Carlisle Garden centres not having been up there for a while.
One of the major displays at this time of the year is what you might describe as "pot mums". Pots full of small Chrysanthemums bursting with flowers. They have obviously been grown under glass to get them flowering at this time of year. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they were also hormone treated to produce the dwarf dome of plants.
Clickychick spotted one that was just right colour for the veranda at the Lodge. So on Saturday it will be brightening up the view from the living area. As it is just coming into flower it should last quite a while.
