Morning Has Risen
Morning has risen but the moon is late in leaving. It develops into a sunny morning.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the morning sunshine on these early autumn days. The downside is that the low sun shines through windows and shows up how dirty they are.
Now that I remember, this wake up moment happens every year at this time and goads His Lordship and me to address the issue.
Out from the depths of the cupboard comes the Kärcher window vacuum, not forgetting the instructions, in case we have forgotten how it fits together after a year of non usage.
After it has worked its magic on the windows leaving them gleaming, the sun has disappeared. Sod’s law in action again.
The sun may have disappeared but daughter#1 has appeared back from a trip to the south coast and feeling the change in temperature keenly. There was much chat and eating of toast as we planned her birthday celebrations next weekend.
There is a certain poignancy in the fact that the birth of one’s first child marks becoming a mother for the first time, a life changing event in every sense.
