Grey Heron

Captured on a walk on a gorgeous early autumn day through Chalford, the village where we are visiting my cousin Albert (see yesterday's blip). (The bird unfortunately has a broken leg, but seems to be managing satisfactorily.)  We stopped by the Chalford Village Shop--a small general store managed as a cooperative by local residents who volunteer. Albert and his wife Popsy are actively involved in it. In the evening we watched the Senate hearing with Kavanaugh, Trump's nominee for the Supreme Court, and Christine Blasey Ford, his accuser. A highly distressing process, to say the least.
