Friday: Autumnal

We spent the morning glued to the TV to see what was going to happen regarding the Kavanaugh hearing. As a historian said on MSNBC said, don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Jeff Flake has bought time, and that is an excellent thing - perfect would have been for the nomination not to go forward, but this is a decent outcome.....it has felt like watching history in the making.

I'm actually here in Kelowna to give a speech, not to watch news channels. My speech was at lucnchtime - maybe not my best, but it was ok.

This evening we went for a walk and took in some of the new breweries. Extra is a picture of sisters Janet and Elaine, whom we got talking to in Kettle Brewing. They were lovely - I'd like to say it was their idea to hold the skull......
