Mowing the grass
I'm in a bit of a dilemma about what photo to post today. I was hanging out the washing this morning, and this beautiful Wood Pigeon (Kereru) flew over me and landed in the tree above our vege garden. The Kereru is a heavy bird, and because of this it often flies lower than other birds, and you can hear it coming by the noise it creates when it flaps its wings. I took lots of photo's of it sitting in the tree.
The other choice of photo was the contractor who arrived this morning to start mowing our grass which will be put in our silage pit.
So in the end, I decided on the mowing of the grass photo as it is farm related - and you have all told me how much you enjoy farming blips. My Kereru photo can be seen on my blipfolio by clicking here.
It will take most of the day for the contractor to complete all the mowing, then tomorrow the Combine Harvester, silage trucks and digger will arrive. After all the grass is in the pit, we then have the fantastic task of covering the pit, and throwing lots of tyres on it to hold the cover down. More about that in tomorrow's blip.
Sorry I haven't been able to do a lot of commenting, or replying to your blips. There is never enough time in the day to get everything done!
And many thanks for everyone's concern about Farmerboy. He is on the improve, although still not 100%.
