Wild, Wet and Windy
The second day of our trip to Lewis and Harris turned out to be wild wet and windy so photography was hard work especially as the rain here is not vertical but more like horizontal so If you are facing the wrong direction you spend all of your time wiping your lens clean. We chose to do the more boring bit of Lewis to the north which is mainly moorland and peat bogs. However there were some interesting beaches and when you reach the But of Lewis the landscape and seascape become very dramatic as you have a rocky coastline with sea stacks and a roaring current, well known for being one of the wildest bits of the UK weatherwise.
The rain cleared about 4.00pm so I was able to spend some time at Port Nis trying to capture the wild seascapes
