Flying towards the finish
It's been a smashing day at Chatsworth for the Individual event of the Junior Inter Regional Championships. I went for a run around the estate at daybreak, it was freezing with a heavy frost on the park, but great to be out with thin mist drifting across the grass, herds of deer grazing and groups of pheasants disturbed and squawking as I ran by.
It was a very cold start but soon the sun was up and out and layers of clothing went back in rucksacks. By mid-morning the squads began to arrive and prepare for the competition. I wandered to several locations, taking 2500 blips which I have managed to cull to 1100!
After the event we freshened up and went to Ranald and Viv's for a very welcome dinner and a bit of socialising before the prize-giving at the Mt Cook Outdoor Centre.
Another early start in the morning for the Relay Event.
