man made scenery

I like to occasionally visit Middle Peak Quarry in Wirksworth it gives a different and I think fascinating perspective. It was  a Lead mine for about 2000 years, until the lead began to run out when the site changed to a limestone quarry. Its been closed for sometime now and this year planning started for lots of houses. Not only will houses change the scene again but will probably change the character of the small town. However more houses are needed and change is inevitable.
