Holeslack Farm

Today's the day ........................… for a Sunday afternoon stroll

One of my favourite walks today taken between the sunshine and the showers.

I started at Helsington Church and walked southeastwards towards the National Trust Sizergh Estate.  The path takes you down through Holeslack Farm yard past this wonderful old barn.  You can see signs of old entrances now bricked over - it's had a long and useful life.  Holeslack Farmhouse is now available as holiday accommodation and sleeps 8 people.

At the end of the high wall to the right, a footpath gate leads you through Rash Spring Wood (see extra).  You emerge through a gate on to the stone track, then through a gate into a field and all the way back to Sizergh Castle and the café.

That's where you can have a nice pot of tea and a scone ………………………!
