Sea Stacks to the west of Lewis

Today was supposed to be a rainy day with occasional bright spells. Fortunately for us it turned out to be a cloudy day with lots of brights spells and scarcely any rain, which is just as well as we set off before dawn to see daybreak at Callanais. It's the first time I've seen the standing stones at Callanais and I was very impressed as their shapes and textures knock spots off Stonehenge. We did not get a very dramatic dawn but even so it was very atmospheric. Unfortunately my post-processing on the iPad is quite limited so I really have not been able to do them just so I have included a monochrome as my extra.

Our next major stop was at these sea stacks at a very remote location in the south west coast of Lewis where they face the Atlantic rollers and there was plenty of drama here. Even though we were perched on cliffs high above them.
