Hike

Another glorious sunrise. An early stroll for me while the others caught up with their beauty sleep. It was nice and cool walking down the full 1000ft towards our local town, Nidri. Camera bag in hand, bottle of water and shades on! Many have said to us before we came here, that Greece is just beautiful all over. Nothing can be further from the truth. Stunning views, impressive buildings (in the sense that they were built in impossible-to-get-to-places), wonderful people, great food and damn good coffee. And beer. The heat soon started to rise as I enjoyed a Latte watching the daily commuters boarding one of the many car ferries. I even witnessed a wedding about to take place, on a cruiser (see extra, the crowd on the left). The journey back to the villa was torture in the heat, even when it was just gone ten in the morning. I was slow to capture a moped giving me a freight: the fella was carrying a large glass coffee table under one arm with it's legs sticking out sideways. Confident but bloody crazy if you ask me!
