Sunrise on the River Nene

After a day of rain yesterday a dry journey to work was very welcome. I took the cautious route and went along the road as I thought the river and rowing course route would be flooded. There was a gorgeous sunrise, but framing it was hard on this urban route. So despite being a few minutes late I took a detour down to the river bank in town and got this shot.

I came home along the river and although passable, don't think it will be tomorrow morning going by tonight's weather forecast. I don't think I have ever known the river to burst its banks so many times in one year.

Just walked Tallulah and heard a tree come down in the woods. Think we are in for a rough night.
