Those deep purples

I'm not much of a gardener, so it makes me happy that my trees are kind enough to give me a few fruits, despite the neglect.  I love the deep bloomy purples of the figs, and the sunburnt apples seemed like a nice complement.
The fig harvest has been the best ever this year - I'm going to be very domesticated and make chutney.  The extra is one last lonely fig on the tree - everything is very dry now.
