My Dog Lulu
This is a picture of my little Lulu. She can be EXTREMELY irritating most times, which really puts her life at risk because my temper with her is quite thin. She's a lovely dog though.
Jebal Akhdar tomorrow! Am I excited? No. 6 hours of hiking up a boring 5 km mountain will make me very fatigued. Teachers say "No, no the walk is REALLLLLY beautiful." Pfft. That's always the theory isn't it miss? Hah. I guess some of it may be beautiful, like the 5,000 meter drop we'll be looking down when we get to the village. For your information I really dislike heights. Today we found out that us girls cannot sleep in tents due to safety reasons. However the boys can. Typical. Some of you may be wondering why this is, the reason why us girls are not allowed to sleep in tents is because it's a traditional Omani village and boys happen to be inhabitants. The villagers are probably not used to seeing western girls sleeping alone, outside their village in a big dome canvas (a tent). Fair enough I guess, but I was really disappointed.
I was going to write more about that matter, but I couldn't really put in words what I wanted to say, and what I wanted to say might not be really appropriate. You can all probably figure though why girls are strictly not allowed to sleep in tents next to an Omani village with boys in it; I think you get my jift.
I will not have a blip for Wednesday, Thursday or Friday as I will be around un-civilized surroundings painting schools and picking dates, which very sadly does not supply wireless LAN. Oh well.
Bye everyone!
