Butter Lamps

A calmer day today, poor Andrea had the first attack of "Kathmandu Belly" so we were home early from work. It was nice to be back there in the new room. It is bright and large and great. We had a siesta and after that the Mrs was feeling better so we went to do a bit of shopping, a new adventure.

We bought some stuff but I think we paid quite a lot for what we got! Having said that Nepalis say that food here isn't cheap...

We got some advice from a taxi driver today, we had taken a taxi as we had got tired waiting for the right bus to turn up. Seems like it is better to take two buses, it is a bit more expensive but quicker and you have more chance of having some space on the bus.

We had a nice chat with our new landlady, who is lovely and has had a very interesting life. And then we went to bed.
