and finally the rains came!!

Just ran down the garden to blip a grateful dahlia which has been waiting for the rain for weeks and weeks.

The birds were excitedly chattering, perhaps they are young birds who have never experienced rain before.

I know many people do not like the rain but as gardeners, we are delighted to see the soil moist again and the re-seeded patches on the "lawn" might come to life.
