Goldfinch

On our walk this afternoon we came across this little chap who was wandering around on the footpath. As we walked towards him he would hop on a metre or so - allowing us to get to within about four metres. I thought he might be injured. He obligingly stood still whilst I got my camera out and knelt down. Must have spent a good four or five minutes with him.

As we set off again he flew up onto a hogweed stem and posed nicely as I got my camera out again - see extra. He then flew off across the field. He seemed to be fine.
