Autumn maple

A late start to the day - despite yesterday's relatively early night, neither of us woke until almost 10 o'clock!

Much colder than of late, so I decided that a big pan of French lentil soup was in order. Then realised that a  trip to the Co-op was necessary, to buy celery for the soup. Walked the very long way round to for a quick shot of this maple tree en route. It's one of several near the Cheviot Centre, and they look stunning against the blue sky.
