A Star is Born

After a morning of trying to drown out other people’s far too loud conversations with their children in Waitrose Café (whilst trying to fit in a chapter of this month’s book group book, due to be read by Friday) and an early afternoon forcing myself to mark a few German orals, I met R&K at The Arts Picture House (view from window pictured above) for an early tea and to watch ‘A Star is Born’. I was gripped despite the 2h 17m running time. Left with a tear stained face. At one point I did feel like I could have broken into a sob if I had not been watching in a cinema surrounded by people who would have been distracted by such an outburst. Highly recommend.
