Into the Jungle

This is an emergency blip of the forester amongst his asparagus plants.  This is their second season and we picked them for a fortnight but now they are being allowed to go to fern.  Next year we should have bucket loads.  The picture is significant because the forester is 6ft5  so the ferns are high.  
We had sad news about our friend who has brain cancer.  The palliative nurse is now treating him.  From diagnosis in May until October how a person's world can change.  I didn't feel like taking the camera out today so you get this.
P.S about my trip to Christchurch.  I left Nelson from the existing terminal at the airport and yesterday returned via the new terminal.  It is spacious and I could smell the timber used for the exposed ceiling.  Yesterday was John Lennon's birthday.  He would have been 78.
