Biddulph Grange Gardens

Where better to spend a sparkly sunny day than in gardens filled with autumn colours.

Biddulph Grange Gardens is a National Trust property in Staffordshire, close to Stoke on Trent.

The highlight is the China garden, with all the ingredients : water, acers, pavilions, stonework and beautiful plants. The dahlia bed looked lovely, but it was the changing light against the leaves and shapes that was so special.

I’ve used a couple more extras too.

I haven’t been to Biddulph for a couple of years and I used my Satnav. It took me right past the hospital where I was born, and I found myself thinking of my mother there all those years ago x.
