Today's the day ……………………. to bask

A gloriously sunny, warm day today for pretty much the whole of the UK I think.  We basked in an airstream that had come all the way up from Africa - and it really felt more like a Mediterranean summer than a Cumbrian autumn.

I couldn't resist doing a bit of gardening, although there were many other things that I should have been doing.  And it was good to see that there were still plenty of flowers around even at this late stage in the year.  I even saw a peacock butterfly.

I don't suppose the good weather will continue like this - but it's such a treat while it lasts ……………………..
