Just as I had near to the end of the A3 to work I got a call from a sick Wife at home stuggling with two healthy little ones. So I turned round and headed for home and managed to get back in time for the school run, and then to take Boy to tennis whilst making a few call to work along the way.
Wife was not well, suffering from the same spinning head that I had the other night and if anything she has it worse. Boy did well at his tennis, but had a bit of a wobble at one point and needed some cuddles. In the afternoon we did some shopping before collecting Girl.
Girl came bounding out from school with pride. She was wearing a sticker saying she was in the golden book. She was awarded this prestigious award for her high quality singing and actions for the school nativity practise. Added to that she has only gone and been cast in the role she was after, an angel. Hooray for Girl.
On the way home she spotted our local shop, so blinded by pride I took her and her brother to chose a celebratory sweet. Boy chose one that made his mouth turn blue. When we got almost home we bumped into our local singing librarian, who actually taught Girl to sing and do actions when she was a little baby. She was very pleased to hear about Girl getting in the book. She asked Boy what he had a cheived and he just flashed his blue mouth.
Once home Girl ran upstairs to Wife's sick bed to show off the acheivements. In one breath she announced about how she had made it into the Golden book, been cast as an angel and that her brother had a blue mouth.
Wife seems to have got a little better as the day has gone on and I have got through the surprise Daddy day. A day full of achievements then.
