Public Sculpture - New Cross Hospital
I'd have rather been at the blip meet at Shugborough Hall today, but I'd no sooner indicated my interest when the letter dropped on the front door mat asking me to attend a pre-operative assessment at the same time. So I headed for the hospital today, not only for the tests they perform on you prior to the operation, but also to learn a little more about the after care in a group session after lunch.
I came away with them happy (pending results of some tests) to go ahead with the operation and also a large black duffel bag of 'goodies' to be used after the operation. I have a pretty good idea what's in the bag, but I didn't delve in this evening, I didn't want to be put off my dinner! I still don't have a date for the operation but now know it will be happening within the next few weeks now the assessment has taken place. I may just be able to enjoy the autumn colours in their glory before being sidelined.
And on that note, thank you very much for the interest in yesterday's image. I thoroughly enjoyed making it and am doubly happy with your response. Makes it all worthwhile.
