Fishing Boats Sheltering
The gales continue to blow, dull and misty on the hills, and showers tonight.
I've been working on the museum desk all day, and it's been a quiet day. I had loads of setting up to sort for tomorrow. Two members of staff have handed in their notices this week, and Trevor had his last day. Coffee and cake to wish him luck on his new job. The showers tonight finally eased, and I managed to get out with Sammy. Mam and Elise popped by for a cuppa this evening.
The gales are to continue tonight, and not ease until tomorrow. This means there are plenty of fishing boats taking shelter all around Shetland, mostly in Lerwick. There are also ones here in Scalloway too. Local boats here, but also a good few from the Scottish fleet. The pubs will be busy tonight! Taken from Sundibanks, looking to Blacksness pier, Scalloway.
