Pickled Pickle
It's been another lovely day, flat calm and mostly sunny, with a few clouds. A lovely clear sky and evening tonight.
What a brilliant start to the bairns October holidays, and seems like everyone has been out enjoying the fine day. I've been working in the museum all day, and missed the best of the day. We had a busy day in the museum. There was the opening of the Shetland Needleworkers exhibition, and amazing work gone into it. I went for a couple of pints this evening, and now a quiet night by the fire.
I nipped down the road at lunchtime, and bumped into some friends. My poor friend Colin "pickle" (Halcrow) had a disaster last weekend, a motorbike accident. He's broken his toe, his right thumb and in a cast and also his left collarbone. I was in shock when I bumped into him, but he was as cheery as usual. He does have a downside to his accident, he'll be out of action for darts for a while, and I said the toilet too! Hope he recovers to good health soon. Taken at Clapphoull, Cunningsburgh.
