Swan
The day began with several Hobblers running around Bingley St Ives in the rain, having a great time, then after lunch and a bit of baking, Tony said he wanted to try a longer walk so we took it steady back up to St Ives and negotiated a circuit of the pond. The swans managed to successfully breed this year and several teenage cygnets remain on the pond. They were gliding past with their parents as we turned for home.
I put a shepherd's pie together and then donned a frock and walked down to Nichola and James' house for their housewarming and passed a very enjoyable couple of hours chatting about New Zealand, Prague, hobbling and local walks to different folks. This hobbling has given me a whole new bunch of great pals!
