St Mary's, Scilly Isles - Back blip

A Lapland bunting had been reported on the island, so we trekked a few miles to find it. We eventually found the bird and it was happy for us to get close, but it wouldn’t come out of the grass. I got a photo of sorts – see the extra.

The main photo is of a godwit. I see lots of black-tailed godwits at Leighton Moss, but this is a bar-tailed. Bar-tailed godwits are often found on sandy beaches.
