Dogs convening

Another glorious day - so enjoyable! There were tons of dogs at the park today, many of them having a meeting of minds in the water. Salem does not like the water but she got her toes wet and had a drink.

I saw two very unusual breeds today - one was a Giant Malamute. I was stunned speechless at his size and beauty. He was mostly white with gray on the edges and his head came up to my chest, as he loped on by. The other unique type of dog was a shitzu-beagle mix. There were two of them, brothers. I have to say, they are one of the weirdest little mixes I've ever seen. Imagine Snoopy but more compact and with curly hair. 

My son arrived after driving for 14 hours so he was a wreck and went straight to bed. He settled in today and we are planning his birthday party which is going to be Saturday night. He will be 28. It's so good to hear his voice in the house!
