One of my favourite trees in the garden, which has a peace pole underneath it. Especially beautiful at this time of year. 

I've had a day off today - had to do some paperwork and planning this morning but in the afternoon I took a walk in the autumn sunshine. We picked up some windfall apples for Max to collect and turn into cider, and I made an apple crumble.

We also moved the bench inside. This is a real sign of autumn, as it shows that its too cold to sit outside for our morning coffee/afternoon tea. However, when the postie arrived at lunchtime, I saw that he was still wearing shorts...still waiting on the first frost when he will put on his long trousers!
