It's like the End of the World.....
...... says Cameron as we discussed the fireworks after the switching on of the Perth City Christmas Lights! I think he was impressed! Me too by the way. So with Mummy staying at home with a sick Ben (chucked up a few times last night and has a temperature) Nana was called in to take the boy to the High Street. Great atmosphere, loads of acts on the stage which was set up at next to the Council offices (which are lit up here) from local acts to the Red Hot Chillie Pipers. Lovely clear evening perfect for the fireworks and for standing watching.
Bit of shopping in the morning, coffee, chatting, bargains in Gap - I do love their jeans, they seem to suit my shape, and with 30% off on top of the sale price couldn't fail to be happy!
Afternoon took Breagha up Kinnoull Hill and we walked up with a lady with a big beautiful dog called Penny the Pointer!! Like it!
But..... as I reached the top of the hill, laid out on the stone tablet were numerous bunches of flowers and a separate fan of brightly coloured roses in memoriam to a young man called Sean, who walked over the top this week and fell to his death. The words on the cards from his family were heart wrenching. I stood there with tears rolling down my face for their loss, thinking of the pain and agony they must be feeling at losing their son, brother and grandson. I keep thinking about him tonight, and wonder what it was that was so bad that he felt he could not go on living. Its just such a waste of a young life.
